Inspiring Youth with Integrity and Hope
Honoring Gideon Olaniyan and Alice Oyepate Adebayo
Our Name,
Our Story.
The name GIDALICE is formed from the names of two remarkable Nigerians — GIDeon Olaniyan Adebayo and ALICE Oyepate Adebayo. This foundation was established by their children to honour the values their parents lived by and to ensure that legacy continues to shape the lives of young Nigerians for generations to come.

Who Was Alice Oyepate Adebayo?
Deaconess Alice Oyepate Adebayo (née Akinboye) was born on March 22, 1942, into the royal Atakoko ruling family of Adeeye compound, Odunmarun, Ejigbo, Osun State.
As the firstborn child, she carried the responsibilities of leadership from a young age, guiding, nurturing, and motivating those around her. She was educated at D.C School and Modern School in Ejigbo, and later at the prestigious Baptist Women Teacher Training College, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, where she trained as a professional teacher.
She went on to serve as a classroom teacher and later as a headmistress, instilling discipline, faith, and a love of learning in every student and community she touched. She was baptised in 1957 and ordained a Baptist Deaconess in October 1991.
She was known for her deep prayer life, her immaculate sense of cleanliness, her generous heart, her sharp business mind, and above all, her unconditional love for her family and community. She passed on to glory on December 17, 2020, leaving behind a legacy that her family refuses to let fade.

Who Was Gideon Olaniyan Adebayo?
Mr. Gideon Olaniyan Adebayo was a devoted husband, father, and man of faith. Alongside his wife Alice, he built a home anchored in Christian values, hard work, and a deep commitment to the well-being of his children and community. His name lives on in this foundation as a permanent reminder that a man's character outlives him.

Why This Foundation Exists
Their children watched their parents model integrity, generosity, and upright living every single day.
They saw how their mother would wake early to pray for each child by name.
They saw how she gave freely to those in need, how she kept her home and her life in beautiful order, how she led her siblings and her church community with grace and firmness.
They saw their father stand steadfastly beside his family.
And they asked themselves: how do we make sure the next generation gets to experience what we experienced growing up?
The answer was GIDALICE Foundation.
Most institutions in Nigeria celebrate academic achievement, and rightly so.
But GIDALICE Foundation was created to fill a gap: to celebrate and reward the young person who tells the truth when lying is easier, who stands up for a bullied classmate, who returns what does not belong to them, who chooses right over popular.
That young person deserves to be seen, celebrated, and supported.
