Beyond the Report Card

We celebrate the young people who choose integrity, honesty, and kindness — every single day.

At GIDALICE Foundation, we pair academic excellence with good character, recognising Nigerian children and youth who show moral courage and ethical living. Our three core programs identify, equip, and celebrate them.

The Character Grant

The Character Grant is a financial award presented to primary and junior secondary school students who consistently demonstrate honest, ethical, and upright behaviour in their everyday lives. This is not an academic prize — it is a deliberate recognition that who you are matters just as much as what you know.

How Nominations Work: Any teacher, parent, or community leader who knows a deserving young person can submit a nomination. A written recommendation explaining specific examples of the child's upright character is required alongside the nomination.

Eligibility:

  • Must be between the ages of 6 and 16
  • Must be currently enrolled in a Nigerian primary or junior secondary school
  • Must be nominated by a teacher, parent, or community leader with a written recommendation

Workshops on Upright Living

Our workshops are interactive, facilitated sessions held in schools and community centres across Nigeria. They are designed to engage primary and junior secondary school students in honest conversations about character, choices, and community.

Topics covered include:

  • What integrity looks like in everyday life
  • Making the right choices when peers are watching
  • Standing up for others and peaceful coexistence
  • Being a person of good character at home and in school

Workshops are also available for parents and teachers who want to learn how to model and reinforce these values consistently in the classroom and at home. To request a workshop for your school or organisation, please contact us.

Resources & Guidance

We provide free educational materials, printed guides, and mentorship resources to schools, parents, and teachers across Nigeria. These resources are practical and easy to use — designed to help adults nurture upright behaviour in the young people they care for, not just in formal settings but in the small, everyday moments that shape character over a lifetime.

Resources are available on request. Contact us to find out what is currently available for your school or community.
